OOTD: Airmax

If you've ever been in a city like Bruges, you'll know that wearing comfortable shoes is very important. The streets here can be rather wobly!

I have an eye of the day coming up  on this look!
A few days ago I met up with one of my best friends and we decided to explore the city of Bruges. We've obviously spent a lot of time here in school, but Bruges still has a lot of secrets for us. The perfect shoes for our adventure? My Nike's!

I kept my outfit pretty simple... White shirts, black blazer, black pants and a black purse. All these items are by H&M.
The real eyecatchers? My Nike's! They're black, white and very hot pink! I absolutely love them!

I wanted to keep my accessories minimal with this outfit. I went for two silver bracelets to match the silver studs on my purse.

That's it for this really basic outfit (yet it's one of my personal favourite outfits). Let me know what you think of this outfit!

EOTD: Paradisco

I love pink. I think it's a beautiful colour and I believe you can find the perfect pink for each and every occassion. I do fear pink when it comes to make-up, eye make-up specifically. Pink is a very risky colour because it can make you look really sick even when you aren't.

When I first started learning about make-up, I didn't really have any high end eyeshadows. Now, I have a decent MAC stash. I noticed there's one colour that I barely ever use. It's a peachy pink colour. I like to challenge myself and this time I challenged myself to wear more pink on my eyes. So... here it is!

I used my oldie but goldie "Texture" in the crease and added some "Bronze" and "Espresso" near the outer corner. These colours are my go to MAC crease colours. "Texture" and "Bronze" are both shimmery, "Espresso" is matte. I kept these crease colours pretty neutral but if you want to, you can build up the intensity and really make it a dark smokey eye.

I used my peachy pink eyeshadow called "Paradisco" on my eyelid. This is a shimmery eyeshadow with some gold in it. To accentuate the gold glitter in this eyeshadow, I added a little bit of "Honey lust" in the center of my eyelid. This is a great trick to make your eyes pop and make them appear brighter and bigger.

To finish off the look, I took the colours that I used in the crease and applied them near my lower lashline. That just makes the whole look complete. Near the inner tear duct, I applied a shimmery white, which I later also applied on my brow bone to highlight.

As always, I ended up applying winged eyeliner and mascara. That's the finished look!

OOTD: Orange is the new black

There's no better feeling than waking up in the morning, knowing there's nowhere you have to be. Just being able to do what you want for a day is amazing. Like most students, I have been spending a lot of time at work this summer so when I have the day off, I always try to make the most of it!

I jumped out of bed, put on clothes that made me feel really good and met up with my sister to catch up on how we've been! Here's the oufit I wore!

I just realized, as I'm writing this, that all of the clothing items I'm wearing are from H&M. Exept for my shirt, it's an electric blue shirt and I got it from "Moggy's".

I kept my accessories pretty simple. I did have some arm candy on! The watch that I'm wearing is from Claire's and my pearl bracelet is by  Six. My nails were painted in thesame electric blue as my shirt. I used my Essence nailpolish in "Electriiic".
I'm so in love with this blue colour, it's not even funny!

Thanks for reading! Have a good day!

Short, shorter, shortest

Even though life has been pretty good to me lately- I'm a very lucky girl- I've noticed that after getting out of a relationship a little while ago, I kind of lost myself.
I'm used to being alone and I think I have a pretty strong personality but it just took me a while to find that independent girl again after losing that one person that I had been giving myself to so intensely.

So instead of finding someone new I just decided to take all the time I needed and think about what I really want in life. What do I want to do for myself?
One of the things was to become the person I was before the breakup again. You know how it goes, sometimes life just gets the best of you. I admit, I have been knocked down (pretty hard actually), but life's not about how many times you get knocked down, it's about getting up again, rising.
I'm very lucky to have a nice group of friends who always have my back - but there's one thing that they couldn't do for me: getting my confidence back.

I have been working on myself a little bit and I have been reinventing myself as well. I like to reinvent myself, I try to do it very often. Sometimes I try to change something on the outside and other times I just try to work on the inside.
I've been reflecting about myself for a while now and to match my new found independency and confidence, I changed my old hairdo.

The ombre is gone (it's more "bronde" now) and I cut most of it off. I've been wanting to do this for a while but I never had the guts so this is kind of freeing!
I've also been thinking about a new colour... You'll see it soon enough!

I love you guys.
Have a great day!

Better is not always more expensive!

I'm a very difficult person when it comes to lipsticks and lipglosses. I like my regular red and even darker lipsticks, but I always have trouble finding a nice nude one or a "better than my lips" kind of colour. I'm also very picky when it comes to lipglosses. I don't mind them being a bit sticky, honestly, it's all about the colour for me.

A couple of years back, I once got an H&M lipgloss that I was crazy about! Yup, H&M. It doesn't need to be expensive to steal my heart.
Last week, while I was shopping a little, I found these new lipglosses by H&M that looked absolutely adorable. They came in a few different colours but I just got the nudest one.

Can we talk about the packaging? Oh my god! It's actually rather simple, but I do like it. It's a see through tube with silver detailing on it, which isn't the fanciest lipgloss packaging ever, but it's cute - and they could have done a lot worse for this 99 cent lipgloss.

This is what the lipgloss looks like - a peachy pink, glittery substance. I do like a little bit of sparkle, but not too much. This looks just shiny enough to me!
I do admit that it feels a bit sticky at times, but I'm not really bothered by that. To me personally, every single lipgloss is sticky and it's just something that you have to deal with if you decide to wear lipgloss.

Tadaaaa! The colour on my lips. My god, do I love this lipgloss!
It's not just great for that little bit extra "oomph" with a smokey eye, it also looks really amazing with just natural, daily make-up.

I normally don't wear any products on my lips daily, but I have been applying this for the last few days and I can't stop looking at it (in the reflection of my phone, haha!).
I feel like this lipgloss makes me look fresher, healthier, more vibrant, if that makes sense to you...

Yeah, I like the look of this!
I love finding those budget products that you don't think about a lot until you try them and they surprise you in a really good way. H&M lipglosses almost always surprise me in a good way! This one sure did! Yay!

Would you try it?

Wanderlust

This year has both been absolutely amazing and absolutely awful for me. I'm not one to get very personal online and I rarely ever let you in my head, but today I just wanted to write a little bit about wanderlust. It's an intense desire to travel and explore. You might think 'where is this coming from?'. Well, lately I can't stop thinking about getting away for a little while.

This year I did a lot of things that made me proud, things I thought I'd never do. It didn't always go easy and I lost some things, and unfortunately, people in the process.
It's sad to say but I've cried as least as much as I have laughed this year.
I've never been one to run away from problems, but why always make life so difficult? It's not necessary at all.

Though I can't complain about my life - I lead a very blessed life - I'm longing to escape, even just for a little while. Meeting new people, seeing new places and just letting everything overwhelm and surprise me (in a good way). I think it'll be good for me as a person
I haven't travelled a lot in the short span of my life, but I wouldn't say no if I got more opportunities to explore more often.
"Do more of what makes you happy", they say. I think travelling is what makes me happy. I'm very blessed and I'm happy to be able to travel. In September I'll be visiting Barcelona and I'm looking forward to it! I'm leaving with two amazing girls who have supported me during whatever was going on and I can't wait to just enjoy and chill out with them for a little while. (Of course I will blog about my adventures!)

I leave a little piece of my heart everywhere I go and my soul blooms when I meet people from all over the world.
I'm a very happy girl and I'm eternally grateful for the opportunities I get and the experiences I get when I travel with friends.

Yeah I just wanted to get that out there... This ending sure is awkward.
Tell me your travelling stories!
Thanks for reading and thanks for letting me get this out there!

NEW IN: NIKE!

I've never been a one brand kind of girl. I rarely buy something from the "real brand" just because it has a name. To me personally, it's not the name, but the quality that matters.

Yesterday, I got myself some Nike's though. I've seen a few girls wear Air Max but I never really "fell in love" with a pair myself. I must add that I hadn't really been looking either. Anyway, yesterday I found the PER-FECT pair of shoes. I just had to have them! These are actually the first Nike's that I own and damn, am I proud of them!

This pair of shoes is a real eyecatcher. The main colours are black, white and bright pink!
I am in love! What do you think?

Have a nice day!

NEW IN!

Hello everyone!
I'm back and I brought some new items with me! Recently I have been shopping a little. I don't get a lot, but I get a little over a few days! Today I went make-up shopping. I was out of bronzer and concealer so I went to get new make-up when I found more than what I was looking for...

The first item that I got is a shimmery bronzer. It's by Essence. I was doubting to get this because I didn't really know if this was going to be too shimmery or too bronze, but it's actually just enough of both! I also really like how this bronzing powder looks!

I will mention it in one of my next "face of the day" posts so you'll be able to see what it looks like! It will also be reviewed soon!

Of course I had to check out the nailpolishes. I noticed that most of the Essence nailpolishes were sold out (that happens quite a bit here!), but the one I have been wanting for a long time was still available! It's this gorgeous electric blue nailpolish.

How can you not love a colour like this? This type of blue is my favourite colour and I'm very excited to wear it on my nails! I think it's very cute! Very vibrant and summer proof!

That's it! Thanks for reading!
I hope you have a lovely day!

Manicure Monday: Purple infatuation

Oops! I'm a little - like a lot - late on today's post! Today I have a manicure picture for you! I have said before that I absolutely love to do my nails. I have been trying out a lot of new colours lately and this one is the one I used this week.

It's a matte purple nailpolish by New Look. I like this nailpolish a lot! It dries so fast and it covers in just one layer!

Bookhaul: The One

These last few months I've put off reading a little.
I was simply too busy with school and also my personal life wasn't exactly calm. Now I'm taking a break from school and even though I still have to work, I have some time to read as well!
Last week I finally got a new book.
This book is called "The One", by Kiera Cass. It's the third book in the "The Selection" trilogy.

This book is an easy read, it's about a bunch of girls that try to win a prince's heart. A little bit like "The Bachelor", but with royalty. I enjoyed reading the first book a lot! You can find my review on the first book right here.

I'm currently reading the second book, there will be a review on that book as well!

Thanks for reading!

OOTD: A hint of mint!

Happy Wednesday! I'm back with an outfit of the day!
It's been very hot outside recently, which has provided the opportunity to wear shorts, skirts and dresses.

Today I'm wearing a mint green high-low dress that I actually scored from the kids section at New Look! I was so surprised it fit me! Anyway, I liked the look of this dress and as soon as I found out it fit me, I took it home.

I wanted to wear a statement necklace with this outfit but the top of this dress already has some sort of detail of its own so I decided to keep it very plain and simple. I wore my New Look sandals and a silver charm bracelet that I got at Claire's.

Have a nice day!

Manicure Monday: Mermaid nails!

Happy Monday, loves! I hope you're all doing really good! I hope you've had some time to unwind during the weekend and to get ready for a new week.
I love doing my own nails or getting them done. I think it's the perfect thing to do if you really want to take some time to treat yourself. Earlier this week I found such a beautiful nailpolish by Essence.

This colour caught my eyes immediately, it reminds me of mermaids. It's called "#paradise" and it really does look like paradise. I can't quite tell you what colour this nailpolish has because it slightly changes, depending on what kind of light you're in.

You can find this nailpolish in your drugstore for €1.69.
Thanks for reading! Make today a wonderful day!

New in: Essence nailpolishes

Maintaining beautiful nails is so important. I love doing my nails and I love getting new nailpolishes. I've been building up a little stash and recently, I've added three new colours to my collection!
These three nailpolishes are from Essence, which is one of my favourite budget brands to get nailpolishes from, they're only €1.69/piece.

I got a deep red, a purple and a blue. You'll be seeing these in my Manicure Monday's!

This nailpolish is such a timeless, classy colour. I absolutely love it. It's called "True love", and I honestly think this might be my true love.

This dark purple is called "Indigo to go".

"# Paradise" is a blue, duochrome nailpolish. I already had a lighter blue one (that had a hint of silver in it), this one has more of a green sheen to it. Love it!

Have a good day!

OOTD: Back to Black

Hi everyone! How are you?
I've been doing really well. The sales have started and I have been getting gorgeous new pieces of clothing these last couple of weeks. Today's outfit is an outfit that's almost entirely new!

I recently found this top with Amy Winehouse's face on it. It's a black and white top that says "Back to black" (which is also the name of one of her songs/albums).
I also found lovely white Converse All Stars lookalikes and a denim jacket.

Denim jacket: H&M
Top: H&M
Clutch: New Yorker
Jeans: H&M
Shoes: New Look

I decided to keep my jewelry simple, I wore stud earrings and a little nosering.
The earrings are by Claire's and the nosering is by Six.
I ended up adding a gold necklace that I found at Claire's as well, it's a heart with an infinity symbol which is so pretty. This symbol has actually been a tattoo idea of mine for quite a while, but for now, I have it on my necklace.

I hope you guys enjoyed this outfit post!
